Warranty

5Starr Scooter Limited Warranty

We warrant all 5STARR scooters and scooter parts to be free of any manufacturing defects for a minimum of 30 days (unless otherwise stated below) from the original date of purchase. All warranty claims must be filed by original purchaser and accompanied by the original receipt. We do not warranty or guarantee any 5STARR scooters or parts if your are not the original owner or have purchased your scooter or parts from an authorized dealer. This LIMITED WARRANTY does not cover normal wear and tear, any damage, failure or loss caused by improper assembly, maintenance, storage or consumer modifications of any kind. The manufacturer and it’s authorized dealers are not liable for any special, incidental or consequential loss and /or damages due directly or indirectly to the use of any 5STARRSCOOTERS.COM LLC scooters, scooter parts and products.

BARS

Breaking or cracking due to Manufacture defects 

What’s not covered:

Damage caused by any normal use or improper use and/or abuse (sketchy riding, huge drops, flailing of the scooter, fly out, etc..)

Brakes and brake mounts

Altering or modifying the structure in anyway

Damage, cracking, bending or thinning of the deck caused by grinding or intensional abuse

Rails, ledges, or any rough surfaces damage that scratches, chips, gouges, etc  from impact

HEADSETS

What’s not covered:

Bearings that fail due to contamination, misuse, improper installation, improper or lack of maintenance are not covered under warranty even if failure occurs within 90-day warranty period.

 

COMPLETES & DIRT SCOOTERS

Carry a 30-day warranty on manufacture defects

What’s covered:

Breaking or cracking of deck and headtube due to manufacture defect (not by normal use, sketchy riding, etc..)

Breaking or cracking of bars due to manufacture defect

Other Manufacture defects

What’s not covered:

Damaged caused by improper assembly or maintenance

Damage caused by any normal use or improper use and/or abuse (sketchy riding, huge drops, flailing of the scooter, fly out, etc..)

De-hubbing or chunking of PU

Ovalising of the hub bearing housing

Normal wear and tear, such as flat spots which is caused by hard braking and user-error

Popped tires/tubes or damage to rim and hub housing (on dirt scooters) due to improper inflation, maintenance or riding on surfaces other than dirt

Cosmetic damage, such as stress crack, bending or thinning of the deck caused by sheer impact, grinding or intensional abuse

Stripping and cross threading (this is a user-error)

Brake and brake mounts

Broken parts / failing parts due to improper assembly

Damage to any part caused by improper use and/or abuse

Damage to any part caused by improper assembly, improper maintenance or failure of maintenance

WHEELS

Carry a 30-day warranty on manufacture defects.

What’s covered:

De-hubbing of PU due to manufacture defect (not because you landed on it wrong)

Chunking of PU due to manufacture defect (not because you rode on extreme rough surface or landed wrong)

What’s not covered:

Flat spots are not covered by our warranty and are considered user-error

Wheels that have been “dyed” or altered in anyway are not eligible for warranty

WHAT’S NOT COVERED

Bending, breaking, cracking, scratches, or likewise deliberatly caused by rider

Normal wear and tear

Products that have been modified, neglected, tampered with, altered or poorly maintained in ANY WAY.

Damage to products improperly assembled,installed, repaired or repaired improperly

Damage from causes other than defects in materials and workmanship such as a user’s lack or skill, competence or experience

Damage caused by improper use and/or abuse

Scratches or grinding to the anodizing or powder coating

Stripping and cross threading (this is a user-error)

Any damage, such as cracking, bending or thinning of the deck caused by grinding or normal wear and tear

Improper assembly

Failure to perform or improperly perform maintenance

Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse or neglect

*Please note, that when you send photos or send in your product for warranty, we can always tell what is a manufacture defect and what is not. Please consider this when you are attempting to file a false claim.

*Scooters and scooter parts are made of aluminum metals (6061-T6 aluminum & 7-series aluminum, etc.) while these are industry standards and are very strong materials, nothing is unbreakable. They are not made to give and bend, and the high impact of falls, drops, and flinging of your scooter and scooter parts, will damage your scooter. Most damage or breaking of parts is due to rider error. 

NOTE:Eligibility for warranty is determined by 5Starr Scooters warranty/tech personnel. Proof of purchase is required to validate warranty, no exceptions. Please keep your proof of purchase. Warranty claims will NOT be accepted if you are not the original owner of the product, do not have the original proof of purchase and did not purchase either directly from 5Starr Scooters or an authorized 5Starr dealer. Manufacture defects will be determined by 5Starr Scooters, not by the customer.

 

WARRANTY SERVICE

At no time may any retailer or distributor make representations of warranty for 5Starr products without written permission from 5Starr Scooters. Should a retailer or distributor replace products before consulting 5Starr, it is at the sole discretion of the retailer or distributor and may not be reimbursed by 5Starr.

Any postage, insurance, or shipping costs incurred in sending your product in for warranty is the customer’s sole financial responsibility, and is non-reimbursable by 5Starr.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Warranty will be deemed null and void if the product is ever: used in a manner other than for recreation or modified in anyway, shape or form. At its sole discretion, 5Starr agrees to repair or replace products deemed by 5Starr to be defective. 5Starr reserves the right to replace product with like replacements that may have graphics, finishing, or design different from the original part. If warranty part is no longer available a comparable part will be provided.

 

To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral or written, statutory, express or implied. As permitted by applicable law, 5starrscooters.com LLC specifically disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, recreation for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent defects. If 5Starr cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranties then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of this express warranty and to repair or replacement service as determined by 5Starr in its sole discretion. No 5Starr reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.

 

Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, 5Starr is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use; loss of revenue; loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts); loss of the use of money; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of, or any indirect or consequential loss.

 

 

TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

All warranty claims must be made directly to 5Starr Scooters by emailing us at warranty@5starrscooters.com or filling out the the contact form below. Be sure to include all your contact information, a detailed description of what your warranty claim is regarding, as well as a copy of your original receipt of purchase and pictures of the pictures of the product you are submitting a claim for. You will be contacted via email regarding your claim within 48 hours (weekends & holidays excluded).
